MBA Forum: Industry Development and Double Carbon Targets

May 28-2022

Putting forward the ‘double carbon’ targets not only testifies to China’s willpower to take on the responsibility of addressing climate change - a global issue with externalities, but also marks China’s emerging role as the most important force in leading the world to actively tackle global warming. Rather than being oblivious to costs, the goals should be achieved through the organic integration of low carbon emissions and economic growth. In his lecture, Prof. Wang Min will base his analyses of carbon emission trends on the development patterns of China’s economy, industries, and urbanization; in addition, he will offer viable suggestions for achieving the ‘double carbon’ targets at the lowest possible economic costs through market and pricing mechanisms.
