    +1. What is GMAT test? Where can I obtain more details about GMAT?

    The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) consists of four parts: Analytical Writing Assessment, Quantitative Section, Verbal Section and Integrated Reasoning Section. All the four sections are administered in a computer-adaptive format. The official test report should be received by the end of June for guaranteed review. GMAT scores are valid for five years. Scores from tests taken earlier than this will not be accepted. Applicants may elect to take the GMAT more than once; however, the highest GMAT score will be considered.     +2. Can I take GRE test instead of GMAT test?

    Yes, GRE score is accepted as the substitute of GMAT score as an admissions requirement. To Obtain more information and register for the GRE test, visit: www.ets.org/gre/.

    +3. What if I can't take GRE or GMAT test?

    Candidates who can’t take GRE or GMAT test can use the On-campus Test as a substitute for the GMAT or GRE for admission into our MBA Programs. The analytical test includes two parts: Abstract Reasoning Ability Test and Numerical Reasoning Ability Test. All questions have only one choice.

    Yes. Recommendation letter should be submitted online using our template.

    +2. Should my recommendation be from work or from a professor?

    The most useful recommendations are those from individuals who are able to speak with certainty about your professional and/or academic achievements and potential. It is important, for those who are currently employed, that at least one of your evaluators be someone in a position to judge your professional performance.

    +3. Should my recommenders directly send the recommendation letters to your admission office?

    No. An email invitation for recommendation will be sent to your references by online application system automatically when you leave the email contacts of the references in the system. The references will complete the procedure by uploading their recommendation letters online.

    PKU-UCL MBA students require a minimum 3-year working experience.

    At the time of enrollment for the class entering in fall 2020, the average age for full-time class was approximately 29 and for part-time class was approximately 33.

    Admissions Information

    +1. Does PKU-UCL MBA Programme have rolling admissions? Are there advantages to applying early?

    Yes. Applications are received throughout the year until the end June of 2022 with 4 application deadlines. There are no competitive advantages to applying early, though we encourage our prospective students to apply as early as possible. Applicants can get admission result after each application round.

    +2. Is there any academic preparation required prior to applying/enrolling? Do I need an undergraduate degree in business to apply?

    The PKU-UCL welcomes applications from college graduates coming from all areas of concentration, but applicants should have an undergraduate degree or equivalent prior to the start of the program.

    +3. Is there a preferred type of job before business school?

    No. There are as many routes to business school as there are students. If you follow your abilities and aspirations, you are heading in a good direction.

    +4. What are the admission criteria?

    We value the following characteristics in our candidates: leadership potential, analytical skills, logical reasoning, innovative ability, independent thinking, ambition, and social responsibility.

    Interviews

    +1. What is the interview policy?

    We will selectively interview individuals who submit an application to the PKU-UCL. These interviews will be by invitation and at our initiative only; not all applicants will be interviewed. An invitation to an interview should be interpreted neither positively nor negatively in regards to one's admission status. It simply means we are seeking additional clarification of your goals and professional and personal attributes.

    +2. When and how is the interview conducted?

    Potential candidates will be invited to Beijing for an interview at our school (Skype interview can be arranged). The interview provides an opportunity for the faculty to evaluate the analytical and interpersonal abilities of applicants, as well as their managerial and leadership potential. Candidates will be notified about the admission decision by email within 6-8 weeks after the interview.

    +3. Can I contact alumni in my area? Can I contact current students?

    Sure. You are welcome to do so. If you need, we can help you to get in contact with our students, ideally from your country or region.
