Chengdu Forum: Organizations and Individuals Under the Dual Challenges of Economic Restructuring and the AI Revolution

China's economy is moving decisively beyond its traditional "three engines" of growth. Exports, infrastructure investment, and real estate all face mounting pressures from dual carbon constraints and overcapacity. Building a sci-tech powerhouse, fostering new quality productive forces, and pursuing high-quality development have become imperative priorities for the new phase.

Meanwhile, AI has evolved from a viral tool into a core force reshaping the entire ecosystem. Not only is the AI industry chain exerting a significant siphon effect on traditional industries, but traditional industries themselves are experiencing rapid capability divergence — driven by differing levels of AI awareness and adoption. The same holds true for individuals.

How can organizations and individuals leverage new tools and new ecosystems to pioneer transformation? How can we build super organizations and super individuals? How can we empower more people while transforming and developing ourselves?

On August 24, 2026, the National School of Development at Peking University (PKU NSD) will co-host the PKU NSD Chengdu Forum with Zhaopin, inviting leading scholars and industry practitioners to an in-depth discussion on organizations and individuals under the dual challenges of economic restructuring and the AI revolution.
