The NSD Alumni Fund is delighted to invite you to our upcoming event on September 17th, featuring Prof. Ma Hao and his new book The Paradox of Strategy.
Paradoxes are legion in this age of digitalization: Should you focus on big picture or detail? What’s more important - tenacity or flexibility? Should you prioritize cooperation or competition? Which way to go – concentration or diversification? If not strategically prepared, management will almost certainly run into dead end.
It has therefore become critical to learn paradoxical thinking and apply it to management, which is fully discussed and expounded in Prof. Ma’s new book. And you can expect his speech to be packed with sharp insights and light-hearted moments – his signature teaching style.
Prof. Ma is also the Director of BiMBA Academic Committee. After obtaining PhD. in strategic management in 1994, he taught in the US and Japan before joining BiMBA in 2003. He has published several top-notch management papers and books.
As part of the PKU Education Foundation, the BiMBA Alumni Fund was established in 2014 with the aim of providing continuous study for alumni through lectures and workshops by leading scholars and experts.
