Prof. Chunhua Chen

Chunhua Chen, Wang Kuancheng Chair Professor of Peking University, and Dean of BiMBA Business School at National School of Development. She once was the President of Shandong Liuhe Group, the Co Chairman as well as the CEO of New Hope Liuhe Group. She is the only managerial person who has been conferred the title of ‘25 Most Influential Business Women in China’by Fortune for the consecutively four years. In 2016 and 2019, she was selected as ‘50 Most Influential Business Leaders in China’ by Fortune. Her books won the prize for excellent books in 2006, 2009 and 2015 in the area of humanities and social sciences from colleges and universities awarded by Ministry of Education. In the year of 2017, Professor Chen gained the prize of ‘Author of the Year’ granted by China Publishers. Moreover, she achieved the title of ‘Annual Management Innovation Thinker’ given by Tsinghua Business Review in both 2016 and 2018.

 

In the past 20 years, she has been devoted to figure out theories contributed to Chinese local enterprises development, as well as to research innovation of management theories under the background of internet techniques. she also has kept focusing on the growth pattern of Chinese local enterprises, meanwhile connecting theories and education with business management practices. She has published over 30 books. Her representative works include Inspire the Individual, Inspire the Organization, Symbiosis and Collaboration etc.

BiMBA at Peking University, established in 1998 by Prof. Justin Yifu Lin (former Chief Economist and Senior Vice President of the World Bank) and his colleagues, is the first Sino-foreign MBA programme in Beijing approved by the Chinese government. It is a joint educational venture between the National School of Development (NSD) at Peking University and its global partners. BiMBA now operates two joint MBA programmes: PKU - UCL MBA Programme and PKU - Vlerick MBA Programme.
