Digital Finance Open Class Series & MBA Info Session

From mobile payment to P2P lending, and from open banking to digital currency, innovations have been enabling China’s digital finance to disrupt l’ordre du jour and lead digital inclusive finance worldwide. As digital finance exerts important impacts on various aspects of the society and economy, it’s also noteworthy that the development has brought along new risks while supervisory policy and digital technology continue to advance. Confronted with the epidemic, the Chinese economy has found in digital finance a unique source of power for recovery.

 

To take pulse of the changes, challenges and prospect of the digital finance, the Digital Finance Institute at PKU and the NSD have planned to offer an online course called PKU Digital Finance Open Class Series. On March 26th, Prof. Huang Yiping will give the first lecture on China’s Digital Finance Revolution. The lecture will be followed by an info session on NSD’s MBA programs. You are warmly welcome to participate in both the open class and the info session.

 

For now, eight lectures have been slated for the Open Class Series on topics ranging from mobile payment, wealth management, and commercial banking to the central bank’s undertaking with digital currency.

About the Speaker:

Prof. Huang Yiping is the Jin Guang Chair professor and Deputy Dean of the NSD, as well as Director of the Digital Finance Institute at PKU and a member of the external consulting team for IMF’s supervisory affairs. Previously he was a member of the PBOC’s monetary policy committee. Prof. Huang specializes in macroeconomics, financial markets and rural development.
