About Lecturer
Prof. Huang Yiping is NSD’s Jinguang Chair Professor of Finance and Economics, its Deputy Dean, and Director of PKU Institute of Digital Finance. From 2015 to 2018 he was a member of the Monetary Policy Committee of the People’s Bank of China. Currently he also plays an important role in China Society of Finance and Banking, National Internet Finance Association, Finance 40 Forum, and Economists 50 Forum, while being the Editor-in-Chief of China Economic Journal and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Asian Economic Policy Review. He is an independent director of Ant Group and China Life.
Prof. Huang’s research interests mainly lie in macroeconomics and financial policy. Previously he was Associate Researcher of the State Council’s Rural Development Research Center, Senior Lecturer of the Australian National University, Visiting Professor of Columbia Business School, Managing Director and Asia-Pacific Chief Economist of Citibank, Managing Director and Asia Emerging Markets Chief Economist of Barclays, member of the External Consulting Team on Supervisory Affairs of the International Monetary Fund, and Researcher of the Finance Research Center of the Counsellors’ Office of the State Council.
