Lecture Professor:
Behzad Samii
Professor of the Peking University-Vlerick MBA Programme
Behzad Samii has worked at the forefront of operations and technology management for more than two decades – developing technology, leading consulting projects and educating executives. He combines management experience in customer-centric, multicultural and technological industries, with academic rigour and curiosity to solve real business challenges. He has previously held management roles at Apple Inc. and Schlumberger.
Behzad works with businesses in a number of ways. This includes helping them overcome operational challenges in “new energy” supply and demand networks, identifying innovative pharmaceutical solutions and healthcare operations – and consulting on complex digital value chain transformations. He also supports entrepreneurs to develop business models that use big data from smart meters, drones and electrical vehicles to improve the quality, sustainability and resilience of value chains.
At Vlerick, Behzad teaches on our Masters and MBA programmes, the Beijing International MBA programme and the Executive Master Class in Supply Chain Management. He is the director of the Brussels Executive MBA and holds the Fluvius Chair on Resilient Supply Chains.
