As part of the fast-developing AI technology, AIGC as represented by ChatGPT has gained worldwide attention. Our working modes and career prospects are undergoing unprecedented transformation. Against this backdrop, a major topic to probe into is: how to rationally cognize AI’s impact on the labor market; how to adapt to this new development; and how to actively tackle current and expected challenges and make sound preparation for future careers.

At MBA Lectern, Prof. Zhang Dandan will give a lecture entitled “AI’s Impact on China’s Labor Demand: New Evidence Based on Large-Language Model”. She is NSD Professor of Economics (Tenured), doctoral supervisor, PKU Bo Ya Young Scholar, and Ministry of Education’s Changjiang Young Scholar.

Prof. Zhang will elaborate on AI impact indices developed by her and her team based on over one million pieces of recruitment data, which reflect the preliminary trends of AI superseding human labor. She will also discuss how to deal with challenges by embracing new technology and unleashing human dynamics and creativity, as well as how to step up national inputs into new AI technology so as to enhance national competitiveness.
