A 360° Experience of China—Summer Trip
Feb 04-2013
BiMBA 2012 Full-time international students have just finished their Summer Trip with fruitful experience on this Saturday, 11th Aug.
The purpose of the trip is to help foreign students understand China as a whole, from history to reality, from business to social organizations, learning the diversify of Chinese culture.
Seeing is believing. The students are brought to the front lines of China to get the first-hand experience of Chinese dynamic transformation in the spheres of history and culture. Moreover, it is not as simply as a tour. The trip is well designed as a field studying course with distinguish lectures given by professors, who are specialist with fundamental research in the field. The places that students visited are carefully chosen among hundreds of options and they are all essentials of each city.
It is a 7-days trip starting from Beijing, to ShanXi, Xi’an and ending in He’nan. Students visited Pingyao Ancient City, the Mansion of Chang’s Family, world famous Terra-CottaWarriors, Longmen Grottoes and Shaolin Temple. It is a fully 360 degree experience: visiting the World Heritage, bicycling on ancient wall, sleeping in traditional inn, trying local food, and watching culture show.
Besides, we arranged several company visits, which are precious chance for them to get into the heart of the company and understand their business modules.
We also had the honor to invite the guests from United States Military Academy West Point coming to join the trip: three cadets and one colonel, who are Academy Professor and Program Director of Military Leadership in the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Leadership.
Both international students from BiMBA and guests from West Point enjoyed the trip quite well. It is not only a fantastic experience for them, but also will have a lasting effect in their future studying, and help them to operate well in Chinese culture.
