Students will find architecture modern and ancient, and cutting-edge business thought mixed with altruism and respect for China's past
Beijing University's Beijing International MBA program, or BiMBA, is run by a consortium of 26 American business schools, including Fordham University's Graduate School of Business Administration in New York City, which awards degrees to graduates.
Combined, the Jesuit influence and the culture of Beijing University have resulted in a program designed to create not only MBAs but also future business leaders with character and integrity.
It begins with a bonding exercise -- an outdoor adventure, such as a hike in the Gobi Desert -- designed to mold each incoming class into a cohesive group. During the program, students contribute to a scholarship fund for poor students, conduct auctions to raise funds to aid rural areas, or perform other community service projects.
After graduation, many students -- now managers -- return to BiMBA to mentor new students.
