BiMBA Opening Ceremony of Part-time 08 Held Successfully

It was August 31st at the alteration of the summer and autumn when the freshmen of MBA and EMBA from BiMBA’s 08 autumn classes gathered to witness their opening ceremony in the Boya International Conference Center in Peking University. Prof. Haiwen, Vice-President of Peking University and the professor of China Center for Economic Research (CCER), Mr. HE Pierre Bernard, the Belgian Ambassador to China, Prof. Philippe Haspeslagh, Dean of Vlerick Business School in Belgium, Prof. Wu Hemao, Vice-Director of CCER, Mr. Peter Raffery, Director of International Program of Vlerick Business School in Belgium, Prof. Yang Zhuang, International Dean of BiMBA and Prof. Bruce Stening Vlerick Dean of BiMBA were invited to attend and welcomed enthusiastically by all the collegians.
To start this event, Prof. Haiwen Vice-President of Peking University extended his sincere congratulations and welcome to all the freshmen for the study in BiMBA whose research has been in the advanced position at home for the time being and hold a safe lead of that of other professional business schools. He also urged all the freshmen to keep the school motto of BiMBA and the pride in the membership of BiMBA who will definitely share the glory for the cultivation of all its superexcellent students.
Belgian Ambassador HE Pierre Bernard also expressed his best wishes and great expectation for all the students. He firstly appraised the 29th Olympiad in Beijing that came to conclusion recently. He believed that it had been the outstanding organization and the exceptional performance of Beijing Olympics that won the world reputation and made 2008 belonged to China. He also expressed his gratitude and pride for the freshmen present who would study in BiMBA with the most valuable vendibility named by Forbes and the motto of “Inheriting the Tradition of Peking University and connecting rail with the whole world with Chinese characteristics and the top-ranking education”. He urged the students to shoulder the important tasks from the era and the nation and to become the highly responsible managers and enterprises with the good command of the theoretical knowledge.
The students experienced the international environment from the speeches addressed respectively by Prof. Philippe Haspeslagh, Prof. Wu Hemao, Prof. Bruce Stening and Mr. Peter Raffery who came from all parts of the world and brought to students various angles of view and ways of thinking. All the professors presented their heartiest congratulations to the freshmen and their gratitude for the beloved auspice of the parents. They indicated the further education in BiMBA would pave the way for the career achievement in the future and that students would benefit life-time from BiMBA where gathered professional teaching stuff for the inculcation of both knowledge and ability especially the education of an upright person. The students laughed and applauded for the humorous edification and the elegant demeanor of those professors. Meanwhile, Prof. Yang Zhuang introduced to the freshmen the general information and core-evaluation of BiMBA and encouraged all the students to study hard in the wonderful time in BiMBA and to embrace a brighter future.
The graduate representative shared his wonderful experience in BiMBA which was compared by him a two-year lasting journey full of hardship and tears as well as more beautiful landscapes and plentiful achievement in return. He considered the opportunity to study here was regretless and aroused all the freshmen with his own experiences to enjoy the life and the plentiful harvest later.
