2014 China Economic Forum and U.S.-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue Held in New York

The "2014 China Economic Forum" was held at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on the morning of Jan 6, 2014. On January 6, the NYSE opened for business for the first day after the New Year, and the bell was rung together by Chinese Ambassador to the United States Cui Tiankai, National Committee on United States-China Relations Chair Carla Hills and President Steve Orlins, Boyuan Foundation President Qin Xiao, National School of Development Professor Justin Yifu Lin and Professor Lu Feng to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between United States and China.

On January 7, 2014, 2014, U.S. -China Strategic and Economic Dialogue was held in New York, with focus on the domestic economic policy and economic reform, TPP, FTA, BIT and other issues. On January 8, the China Delegation visited Washington and called on the United States National Security Council, Department of the Treasury, Department of Commerce, and Department of State (Ministry for Foreign Affairs) with communication over U.S.-China long-term economic and trade relations, China's economic growth and TPP.

The United States and China delegations exchanged policy suggestions for the United States Government and Chinese Government. U.S.-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue is jointly organized by National School of Development/China Macroeconomic Research Center at Peking University and National Committee on United States-China Relations, alternating between New York and Beijing annually.
