Launch of BiMBA Voice, the Independent Student Newsletter of BiMBA

In what is said to be the first independent bi-lingual student newsletter, BiMBA Voice was launched today as an online publication.The newsletter consists of variety of sections from interviews with faculty to students as well as alumni and also highlights on events, fashion and lifestyle, careers advise, student perspectives, etc.
The founder and editor-in-chief of BiMBA Voice, Ms. Rajeevi Mapalagama (FT12) said,
“This Newsletter will reflect on the values we believe in at BiMBA and what we comprehend as members of this exclusive community. My dear friends, we are here to accomplish a mission…to get educated, to make a career and concur the world. So hold on to your values, for they are what make us wholesome human beings. So let us walk this journey together leaving a legacy behind. Remember, you are the ambassadors of your home, your family, your alma-mater and the country you come from. Let us be those ambassadors of change, of a new era starting from now, from here.”
The magazine has been well received by both the faculty and staff of BiMBA. The Advisory Board consists of Dr. John Yang, the Dean of BiMBA, Prof. Bruce W. Stening, the Vlerick International Dean to BiMBA and Ms. Daisy Wang, the Admissions Director of BiMBA who have being the guiding force behind the endeavor.
Dr. John Yang conveying a special message said, “I am hoping that BiMBA Voice will help FT and PT students strengthen their core values, improve their professional skills and competences, enhance their abilities to make sound judgment in a world of increasing complexity, diversity and uncertainty and develop into global professionals and leaders who combine the best practices in China and abroad. Remember what Peter Drucker said years ago in a world of uncertainty, you should do the right thing, as well as doing things right.”
While congratulating for ‘a great idea’ Prof. Bruce Stening, went on to say, “I am confident that it will be a publication of great interest and value not only to the students and staff of BiMBA, but also to BiMBA alumni and a variety of other stakeholders.”
The debut issue features an exclusive interview with Prof. Justin Yifu Lin, the founder of BiMBA and hopes to connect with alumni as well as industry and professional leaders in the country in future editions. “We wanted a magazine that wasn’t specific to one audience and something that could bring the BiMBA community together. There were few set-backs and with the support of the school as well as the students finally I was able to overcome the challenges.” Rajeevi continues, “I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who stood by me and helped make this a reality.”
BiMBA Voice accepts submissions from students, faculty as well as alumni for future editions for all sections of the newsletter and those interested can send in their submissions, suggestions or comments to BiMBAVoice@bimba.edu.cn
