Joint Class with MBA Students from Seattle University

Apr 18-2013

On September the 8th, 2010, a group of MBA students from Seattle University visited BiMBA and had a joint class with the full-time students of BiMBA 2010 class and some alumni. The Seattle MBA benefited a lot from the good business environment of the city and many of the students are from famous companies such as Microsoft, Amazon and Boeing, etc.

The joint class instructed by Prof. Madhu T. Rao aroused the interest of students from both sides. As Miesha, a student of the BiMBA full-time class who is from Seattle said:

“The workshop with the visiting Seattle University MBA students was a very rewarding experience. It was great opportunity to learn about another program, and to meet students and professors from such varied backgrounds and approaches to challenges. The visiting students were much farther along in their studies than us BiMBA students; we had only started our program a few weeks prior, while many of the students from SU have been engaged in their studies well over a year. It was good to work alongside the more experienced students and see how they’ve learned to interact and work together to handle the task at hand. This made the whole activity extremely rewarding and challenging. Plus, the presentation by the local entrepreneur and former MBA student was both relevant and inspiring.

We were happy to talk to the visiting students all about studying in China, the strong reputation of our program and to show our beautiful campus. Overall, working with the students and professors from Seattle University was a very worthwhile and an excellent way to make new contacts with people from all over.”
