ROU in Limelight
Dec 03-2018
Of all metrics, ROU enjoys the sacred No.1 position. That's the consensus at Langrun Entrepreneur Forum on November 17th. ROU – China's Reform and Opening Up – was saluted and credited for igniting and empowering entrepreneurship over the last 40 years, which in turn has contributed enormously to the Chinese economy. The forum was participated by members of C50, an organization focusing on Chinese management research and practice, as well as NSD students and alumni. It paid unequivocal tribute to China's reform and opening up policy, celebrating its 40 anniversary this year. Professor Chen Chunhua, dean of BiMBA, believed that entrepreneurship and innovations are what's needed going into the next 40 years. She encouraged the companies to grow into symbiotic organizations rooted in value creation for customers and in trans-boundary value webs. Mr. Hu Jiqiang, chairman of Conba Pharmaceutical, a listed company, said that the entrepreneurs' job was to manage market uncertainties and not regulatory and supervisory uncertainties, as was the case in his industry in the past. Participants also exchanged insights and views on entrepreneurship, Chinese management model, as well as global opportunities afforded by One Belt One Road.
