In Memory of Dr. Stephen Freedman

'Super' was the buzz word of the event on November 14 at NSD in memory of Dr. Stephen Freedman, former provost of Fordham who recently passed away. He was highly commended by Professor Yao Yang, dean of NSD, as a visionary and pioneer building up relationships between the two institutions. Joint programs include MSGF, DPS and study tours, on the back of 20 years of partnership. He was also remembered fondly by colleagues from Fordham for being 'super-energized' everytime he came back to New York after traveling to China, and for calling the week he passed with his two children in China as 'super super days'. A tree was planted in his honor at Langrun Garden, the NSD campus. He liked to celebrate life. Perhaps this is yet another 'super super day' for you, Dr. Freedman?
