Justin Li, founder and honorary dean of NSD, urges Chinese economists to adopt a bigger perspective and care about not just Chinese affairs but also global ones. "Whether the rising of China and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation will be accepted by the world depends largely on if China's development will bring common development opportunities for other nations. In this regard we shall not only do but also say - tell the China story in a good way," he wrote in an opinion piece for Beijing Daily. "We should put forward new theories to help shape a smoother course for China's reform and development, and use our theories, thoughts and development to assist the development of other developing nations, whose growth will create opportunities for developed countries."
