Be Part of Something BiMBA-Big

Mar 21-2019

Career planning is next to impossible before seeing far and wide, said Ms. Gao Nan of BiMBA Class of 2015 during a recent info session at BiMBA Business School. She joined three other alumni to share their stories and experiences at BiMBA with would-be candidates for the two prestigious MBA programs there: one jointly with Vlerick Business School and the other with the School of Management of UCL. Ms. Gao noted that BiMBA had opened up a new world for her and most importantly had enabled her to understand herself like never before. She had fancied investment jobs at financial companies but came to realize that she’s more suitable for management. That led her to accept the offer of an post-investment management position from the largest investment fund in Asia. The other three alumni – Mr. Li Yuhao of Class of 2008, Mr. Xie Yuan of Class of 2016, and Ms. Ming Zhe of Class of 2017 – also talked about their reasons for choosing BiMBA and their growth and gains. World-level pedagogy, global faculty, excellent cultures and values were some of the major attractions. “Why China didn't have the Industrial Revolution?” Ms. Ming Zhe still remembered Prof. Huang Yiping’s inspiring take that it could be due to China’s lack of financial innovations at that time. To be something big requires fresh perspectives. And BiMBA brings that and more.
