MBA & EMBA, Advance Together in Deserts
Apr 22-2019
NSD will be highly visible in China’s two most prominent business school desert challenges this year, dispatching 140 contestants to the Gobi Desert Challenge and 80 more to the Yasha Desert Challenge. A grand ceremony was held at NSD campus on April 13th to pep up the preparations. Students and alumni of both the MBA and EMBA program have been training together and are determined to advance together in the deserts. NSD Dean and Professor Yao Yang hoped that the contestants would put themselves to hardy tests, learn more about themselves, and cherish teamwork spirit. Prof. Chen Chunhua, Dean of NSD’s BiMBA Business School, spoke about the magic of the Gobi Desert where the contestants could set off on new journeys and reboot themselves. She pointed out that to be a leadership one must start by leading and disciplining oneself, as exemplified by Xuan Zang, a Tang Dynasty monk, in his westward quest for Buddhism. The Gobi Desert Challenge will be in its 14th edition while the Yasha one will be in its eighth.
