Students at BiMBA Business School adore the Langrun Garden campus inside Peking University; equally important, they love having the whole business world as their classroom, thanks to the Corporate Classroom project.

Headed by Prof. Zhang Li, the most recent one took place at the headquarters of Joy Capital, founded by BiMBA alumnus Mr. Liu Erhai, who has constantly been awarded one of the most influential investors in China. Founders and senior executives of three startups in Joy’s portfolio - tuhu (B2C car service), Roadefend (AI-based transportation solution), and Xiao Zhu (apartment sharing) – were also present and shared their entrepreneurial passion and innovative spirit with BiMBA students.

Mr. Liu Erhai gave a lecture on new infrastructures, which in his view encompassed the Internet and mobile Internet, logistics, manufacturing, big data and IoT. He believed new infrastructures made companies' value creation more effective and efficient, and for the first time in history empowered non-stop communication between companies and a gargantuan number of clients.

Prof. Zhang Li commented on the practice-based nature of management and encouraged the students to visit more firms. He also spoke highly of the investors and entrepreneurs’ capability of cutting through to the core and essence of business.

A Wechat group was built for the students to carry on lively discussions with the speakers after one whole day’s lectures. Miao Jia of the MBA 2018 Class said she was especially impressed by the analysis of value creation by the investors and entrepreneurs. The joy of learning must continue, for more values are to be uncovered.
