John Yang to MBA New Cohort

Welcome words from Prof. John Yang, Co-Dean of BiMBA Business School:

"The 2019 cohort deserves to be called new-generation MBA students, either from the perspective of China's economic growth over the last 40 plus years, or that of NSD BiMBA Business School's more than two decades' development. The newness lies in the ever more complicated and uncertain environment of today, which requires future managers and entrepreneurs to value learning, innovation and leadership more than before. Cross-cultural leadership is of particular importance given your key roles in foreign companies or Chinese companies in internationalization push, as well as your de-facto roles as ambassadors of different cultures. Good conscience and steadfast focus are all the more desirable nowadays, and that's why the PKU spirit serves as a beacon. I hope that during your study at BiMBA Business School, you will not only work to bring out a better self but only strive to improve the business eco-system in China and even its social eco-system. Try to be a bit less utilitarian and aloof; try to have more humanitarian care – your personal growth will make China's development more internationalized and sustainable, and make the rest of the world appreciate the beauty and good of the Chinese civilization. Let's work hard together!"
