BiMBA Wins Top Award in Business Education
Dec 01-2020
The Tencent Business School Development Forum came to its eighth edition on November 12th and centered on the digital transformation of business education in the post-pandemic era. In the ensuing award ceremony, BiMBA and its dean, Prof. Chen Chunhua, brought home the top prize in their respective category.
BiMBA was awarded for setting the high bar in business education, and Prof. Chen was recognized for her outstanding contribution to business education in China. The forum was jointly organized by Tencent News and Tencent Education, both affiliated with the Internet behemoth Tencent.
Prof. Chen Chunhua delivered a keynote speech on the self-transformation of business education. She said that starkly different from the industrial age when the core of management rested on resource and capability, the digital era ushers in the temporal dimension to managerial and industrial systems and consequently the speed of change reigns supreme. Digitalization has brought about the Fourth Industrial Revolution, exerting fundamental changes on productivity, productive relationships and economic growth engine. Meanwhile, it has reshaped the demand for talents and required business schools to adjust their way of grooming talents. The key to future-oriented education, she said, was to unleash the inner potential of students. Only by opening up disciplinary, learning and school boundaries, can business education achieve self-transformation.
