Prof. Yao Yang Takes on Top Job at BiMBA

According to the decision of the NSD party-government conjoint meeting on August 7, Yao Yang, Dean of the NSD, would also act as Dean of BiMBA Business School henceforth.

 

Yao Yang is PKU Bo Ya Distinguished Professor, Director of China Center for Economic Research, Executive Dean of the Institute of South-South Cooperation and Development, editor in chief of the Economics journal (quarterly), and a member of China Economy 50 Forum. He’s the winner of Sun Yefang Economic Science Award in 2008 and 2014, Pu Shan International Economics Award in 2008 and 2010, and Zhang Peigang Development Economics Award in 2008. He was voted Ten Best Teachers of PKU in 2006 and Ten Best Graduate Student Tutors in 2017. His research encompasses China’s institutional transition, China’s economic growth through reform and opening up, and rural development. He has published more than 100 papers in Chinese and international journals.
