Prof. Justin Lin Yifu Awarded for NPPCC Work

On January 17, a ceremony was held to commend members of the National People’s Political Consultative Conference (NPPCC) who excellently performed their duties in 2022. Mr. Wang Yang, Chairman of NPPCC, presented the awards; Prof. Justin Lin Yifu was among the winners. He is a member of the NPPCC Standing Committee and Deputy Director of its Economic Commission.

 

Prof. Lin is Honorary Dean of the NSD, Dean of PKU Institute of New Structural Economics and Dean of PKU Institute of South-South Cooperation and Development. As NPPCC member, he was presented the award for his burning passion to serve the country and lofty ambition to seek truths, his contributions to theoretical innovations by being rooted in China’s practices, his problem-driven orientation in researching high-quality development, and his achievement in laying out economic patterns to solidify the determination for stabilizing growth.

 

Since 2021, the NPPCC has awarded 20 members with outstanding contributions every year, in line with President Xi Jinping’s important thoughts on strengthening and improving the work of the NPPCCC as well as the principles set by the working session of NPPCC Central Committee.
