NSD Professors Named Chinese Most Cited Researchers

Five scholars from the NSD were among the 2022 Chinese Most Cited Researchers released by Elsevier on March 28. A total of 5,216 Chinese researchers of various disciplines comprised the list, of which 185 were from Peking University.

 

The five NSD scholars on the ‘Theoretical Economics’ list were: Justin Yinfu Lin, Lei Xiaoyan, Zhao Yaohui, Zeng Yi, and Huang Yiping. This marks the ninth time that NSD researchers appeared on the list since Elsevier launched the compilation as many years ago.

 

Founded in the 16th century, Elsevier is an international academic publishing agency. The Chinese researchers on the 2022 list spread across 504 universities, enterprises and research institutes and were selected solely based on the impact of their academic papers. The statistics underpinning the list was sourced from Elsevier’s peer review and literature indexing database called Scopus.

 

The NSD scholars are:

Justin Yifu Lin: PKU Bo Ya Endowed Professor, Honorary Dean of the NSD, Dean of the Institute of New Structural Economics at PKU, Dean of the Institute of PKU South-South Cooperation and Development at PKU

Lei Xiaoyan: PKU Bo Ya Distinguished Professor, CCP Secretary of the NSD, Director of NSD Academic Committee, Economics Professor, Ministry of Education’s Changjiang Scholar Distinguished Professor, Director of PKU Center for Healthy Aging and Development Studies

Zhao Yaohui: PKU Bo Ya Distinguished Professor, NSD Economics Professor, Ministry of Education’s Changjiang Scholar Distinguished Professor

Zeng Yi: NSD Rehired Professor, Chief Scientist of the PKU Raissun Institute for Advanced Studies

Huang Yiping: NSD Deputy Dean, Jin Guang Endowed Professor, Director of PKU Institute of Digital Finance
