Jun 11-2024

According to the latest World University Rankings released on June 5, Peking University moved up to No.14 globally, from No.17 last year and becoming the first Chinese institution of higher learning to be among the global top 15. University College London (UCL), which partners with Peking University to offer an MBA program at the National School of Development, retained its No.9 position globally, on par with last year.

The rankings, by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), reportedly covered 1,500 universities spread among the world’s 106 higher education systems. It prided itself on being the only rankings to factor in employability and sustainable development. The latest rankings was based on 17 million research papers, 176 million citations (excluding self-citations), 1.9 million academic responses, 660,000 employer responses, data from 5,600 schools around the world, 230,000 independent data points, and insights of 175,798 scholars and 105,476 employers.

In 2016, Peking University and UCL signed a joint declaration to co-offer an MBA program, which has since been operated by PKU National School of Development (NSD) and UCL School of Management (SoM). The NSD is widely acclaimed as a leading think-tank for economics and public policy, while SoM as a business school excels in technology, innovation, logical analysis, and entrepreneurship. As a paragon of the two sides’ pitching in their best to offer exclusive courses, the PKU-UCL MBA program has been playing a significant role in cultivating next-generation leaders, spurring China’s development, and facilitating the country’s transition towards a knowledge-based economy.

The PKU-UCL MBA program is taught fully in English and takes in both full-time and part-time classes which begin every autumn. The upcoming 2024 fall classes are now open for application. Please contact to learn more.
