Why Has the Age of AI Arrived?
First of all, generative AI has demonstrated superior capabilities in content generation. It can efficiently and creatively generate multiple forms of content such as text, code, images and videos, which are widely used in many fields such as education, business and artistic creation.
Second, generative AI also excels in human-computer interaction. By using natural language, it is able to achieve a smoother dialogue between humans and machines, enabling machines to understand human commands, thus greatly improving the efficiency and experience of communication between humans and algorithms.
Key Points of AI and Comparison between China and the US
There are several key factors behind the development of the AI industry.
The first is computational power. The second is the algorithm. The third is data. In addition, the combination of AI and applications in various industries is deepening, with many new application scenarios and products emerging.
In my opinion, China and the United States each have their own advantages. The United States is good at original innovation and has some advantages in top chips and algorithms. China, on the other hand, is good at using the power of the state system to invest. At the same time, in the field of algorithms, we have a large number of Chinese scientists as well as domestic algorithm experts, and the number of top scientists is not inferior to that of the United States.
Evolution of the AI industry
Looking at the future development of AI, I think it can be roughly divided into three stages:
The first stage is the generative AI stage, with a large model as the core, and the main function is to output text, code, images, videos, etc., which can be regarded as an advanced form of chatbots.
The second stage is the AI intelligent body stage, which combines the large model with other technologies, scenes and products to perceive human demand commands, receive feedback and complete specific tasks.
The third stage, which is a more long-term goal, is General AI, which will have a higher level of intelligence, be able to perform general tasks, and be smarter in solving the various human challenges in work and life.
AI Offers Strategic Opportunities for Businesses
AI itself has spawned the growth of a new industry: the AI industry, and AI has also driven innovation in products and services.
There are important opportunities on two fronts:
On the one hand, how AI meets the demand side, and in particular its ability to help meet our individual needs. AI is widely used to meet needs such as credit in a variety of areas including education, transport (especially intelligent driving), healthcare and finance, while also showing great potential in gaming, film and TV, and companion services.
On the work and production side, AI also offers great opportunities, especially in improving human efficiency, and the combination of AI with manufacturing and industry, especially in the field of intelligent manufacturing and industrial robotics, offers great opportunities for development.
Finally, AI plays an important role in enhancing scientific research and significantly improving its efficiency.
AI leadership and Business Transformation
First, improve AI leadership: AI leadership includes not only understanding AI technology, but more importantly, leaders need to have a forward-looking view of future technology and business trends.
Second, develop an AI strategy. Companies should formulate AI-related strategies to clarify the place of AI in their core strategies and its relationship with their core competencies, future product design and overall development goals. This is the key to building an AI strategy.
Third, design the combination of AI with your own applications, service scenarios and products. Companies need to think about whether competitors have used AI to gain advantages in these areas, thereby threatening or substituting them.
Fourth, use AI technology to improve operational efficiency. Companies faced with AI technology should think hard about how it can be used to improve operational efficiency.
Fifth, build an organization for AI and people. To build an organization that adapts to AI and human collaboration, enterprises need to focus on two core characteristics: human-machine collaboration and a learning organization.
Sixth, join the AI ecosystem. Enterprises should actively integrate into the AI ecosystem and build an AI partner network.
In conclusion, the AI era brings growth opportunities for Chinese enterprises. We hope that entrepreneurs can deeply understand and embrace this change.
