Human Resources Association Successfully Hosts Suzhou Symposium
Nov 08-2025
The symposium convened cutting-edge insights from academia and industry to explore the macro-economic and societal impacts of artificial intelligence, with particular emphasis on its end-to-end deployment across the enterprise value chain: “research, production, supply, sales and service”. Distinguished guests from universities, business and government engaged in rigorous discussion and case analysis, broadening participants’ perspectives on the AI era and tackling transformation challenges. Together they explored innovative pathways and growth opportunities for AI-enabled diversification.
Professor Zhang Dandan, Vice Dean of National School of Development at Peking University, underscored that AI is profoundly reshaping economic and social structures as a “disruptive technology”. She expressed hope that the symposium would serve as a “vital bridge” among academia, industry and government, fostering “multi-stakeholder collaboration” to “co-create an intelligent future”.
Decoding the New Landscape of the AI Era from Multiple Angles
During the thematic session, speakers offered insights and experience from a variety of vantage points.
Research Professor Wang Tao from School of Computer Science at Peking University, delivered a talk on Trends in Artificial-Intelligence Technology Development in the New Era , charting the evolutionary pathways and industrial outlook for large language models, AI agents, embodied intelligence and affective cognitive intelligence.
Professor Zhang Dandan analysed Technological Advances in Artificial Intelligence and Labour-Market Mismatch , examining structural contradictions in China’s labour market and AI’s far-reaching impact on occupational demand and skill alignment.
Other participants shared their insights on how AI can be practically integrated across different sectors, including finance, new energy vehicles and education.
Summit Dialogue on Entrepreneurship and Career Choice in the AI Era
Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on opportunities and barriers in AI entrepreneurship, up-skilling for the AI era, pathways for traditional industries to integrate AI.
Professor Huang Zhuo, Vice Dean of National School of Development at Peking University, delivered a keynote entitled Investment Opportunities in the AI Era . He systematically outlined “investment logic” and “high-potential segments” within the AI industry, arguing that artificial intelligence is “the engine of a new technological revolution” that “reconfigures industrial landscapes” and “triggers a wholesale re-rating of value” in capital markets.
Professor Huang highlighted the rapid advance of generative AI: Large models and multimodal technologies. The three foundational pillars, computing power, algorithms and data, continue to evolve synergistically, forging a “China-U.S.-centric global AI ecosystem”. Tech giants are pushing corporate valuations markedly higher, while the “STAR Market” and “Hong Kong’s tech sector” are enjoying renewed momentum. He stressed that the “relentless pace” of AI development obliges individuals to “proactively up-skill” in order to navigate profound and far-reaching transformation.
Looking Ahead
The Human Resources Association will continue to work closely with PKU NSD and its alumni to nurture a valuable and supportive ecosystem that empowers every member to thrive in the age of intelligence.
